The Smart Way To Launch Your Glamping Site

Designed for Glamping Academy alumni who want to fast-track their business launch, this four week course provides you with the knowledge and experience needed to turn your dream into a reality.

You’ll be working with like-minded entrepreneurs and industry veterans with years of glamping experience; nailing down your site’s ROI, fine-tuning your plans and working with our in-house experts to build a detailed feasibility study that’ll make sure your new venture gets off to a flying start.

Kickstart Your Glamping Journey

  • High-impact accelerator course for small groups of entrepreneurs.
  • Structured guidance designed to help you refine your plans.
  • One-on-one sessions with our feasibility and planning experts.
  • Prepare yourself to run a successful site.

Starting your own glamping business can be incredibly rewarding. But it can also be quite intimidating.

Glamping is still very much uncharted territory, and while you can find a small amount of useful information scattered across a small handful of forums and websites, accessing the detailed insights needed to get your plans off the ground can be much more challenging.

Truth be told, a lot of prospective site owners really struggle to make headway without a bit of expert input – and the high-energy environment fostered by our academy course.

That’s why we set up the Glampitect accelerator – an intensive, four-week course that gives you one-on-one time with some of the industry’s most experienced veterans, plenty of contact with other prospective site owners that share your vision.

Not to mention the structured guidance needed to take your rough plans and turn them into something polished enough to support a successful launch.

You’ll also graduate with your own glamping feasibility study.

This is a detailed report that’ll tell you how likely you are to get planning permission from your local authority, whether there’s enough demand to support your site and whether you can expect a good ROI from your glamping accommodation.

Guiding You Through The Process

To make sure we can tailor our accelerator course to your needs, we keep places limited to 5 participants per course. When you sign up for the course, you’ll be invited to four weekly sessions that are designed to help you prepare for the next stage of your glamping journey.

The focus is on providing you with the tools and information you’ll need to succeed. There’s a big focus on community, education and support that’s designed to maintain your project’s momentum.

While it’s certainly possible to launch your own glamping site without our accelerator programme, we definitely see a strong correlation between the people that attend our sessions and those who get their plans off the ground in good time.

Each session will cover a different aspect of your Glamping Journey:

Week 1

Information Gathering

  • Meet other site owners that share your vision.
  • Learn how to assess the viability of your glamping site.
  • Tell us about any new ideas for your site.

There’s a lot to learn about glamping. This session teaches you what we’ll look for when we start assessing your site’s viability and pulling together your feasibility study. It’ll help you think like a glamping pro; pointing out the things that could negatively affect your plans and the steps you’ll need to take if you want to maximise your return on investment.

We’ll also use this session to gather information from you: learning about your current plans, and documenting any new ideas that have cropped up since you completed the academy course. All of this feeds into our feasibility study, and helps us draw up a document that’s tailored to your needs.

Week 2

The Feasibility Study

  • Sit back and relax while we author your feasibility study.
  • Find out how viable your site could be.
  • Learn about your potential ROI.

This week’s all about putting your feet up while we do the heavy lifting. Our glamping and planning experts will run through your plans, and use their extensive industry knowledge to draw up a detailed report that assesses your site’s feasibility.

They’ll look at everything from local competition to the planning regulations you’ll have to meet, the expense involved in marketing your site and the demand for your services so that you’ll know exactly what sort of ROI to expect – and what roadblocks you’ll need to overcome.

Week 3

The Group Feedback Session

  • Bounce ideas back and forth with other Glamping entrepreneurs.
  • Get unique insights that’ll help you problem solve.
  • Build upon and further refine your plans.

With your feasibility study in-hand, you’ll get an opportunity to sit down and chat with the rest of your group’s members. People generally use this session to discuss ideas, gain input from the group, come up with solutions to any potential problems exposed by their feasibility study or further refine their ideas.

You’ll probably find that other members of the group have some really interesting ideas that you wouldn’t have come up with on your own. You’ll also find that brainstorming solutions to other people’s problems really helps to polish your own ideas and we often find that course members say this third session is what really pushed their site launch forward.

Week 4

Feasibility Review With Calum

  • One-on-one advice from a successful glamping site owner.
  • Detailed insights based on years of glamping experience.
  • A chance to further refine your plans.

Finally, you’ll get the opportunity to sit down with our founder and resident glamping guru; Calum MacLeod. Calum set up Glampitect after launching his own glamping business, so he knows exactly what it takes to get a successful glamping site off the ground.

Calum will use this one-on-one session to help you perfect your plans. That might mean thinking about picking a new type of accommodation; adding more pods or thinking about ways to add a little extra luxury to your site. It may also mean going through more mundane things, like ways to amend your access or drainage plans, increase your nightly revenue or cut running costs. It all depends on your site, goals and future ambitions.

Need Land?

For prospective business owners who still need to buy land for their glamping site, we run a separate land buying academy course that explains how to spot and purchase the right plot of land for your business.

Based on your answers to the application form we’ll be in touch if we think the Land Buying Academy is the best fit for you, or alternatively you can directly opt in for this option.

Advice That’s Tailored To You

There’s no ‘right’ way to set up a glamping business. Everybody’s journey is different and it’d be foolish to try and offer one-size-fits-all advice when there’s so many ways to bring your vision to life.

Some people will make a raging success out of a small site with 4-5 shepherd huts and a single shower block. Others would prefer to maximise their ROI by investing in 30+ pods with power, water, wifi and Netflix subscriptions, and long-standing experience has taught us that both of these plans can work – as long as the timing is right and get the support you need to bypass common stumbling blocks.

The accelerator course aims to provide that support in an inclusive, energetic and productive format; allowing you and a group of like-minded entrepreneurs to work shoulder-to-shoulder with our glamping experts in expertly crafted sessions that are designed to bring clarity, actionable insights and measurable progress.

If you’re looking to fast-track your glamping business, this is where you need to be.
