For years, Chris and Louise lived the classic London story — long hours, high-pressure careers, fast-paced everything.
But deep down, they always knew it wasn’t forever.
What started as a slow-burn idea — to leave the city and build something of their own — eventually became Liba Vineyard, a breathtaking mix of woodland glamping pods, a working vineyard, and a life that finally felt like their own.
This is their story — and why starting a glamping business in the UK became their path to something much bigger.
Even before the pandemic, Chris and Louise had been quietly questioning the London grind. But like so many, it was COVID that pushed them to act.
“We put everything into our careers,” Chris says. “And one day we just asked, ‘What are we actually doing this for?’”
Instead of trading up homes or splurging on holidays, they saved. They stayed in a modest flat, lived below their means, and made a plan to start over — somewhere green.
Their vision wasn’t just to escape — it was to create.
They imagined a smallholding that combined nature, sustainability, and hospitality. A place where guests could sip wine from their own vines, unwind in the trees, and experience the kind of calm they’d chased for years.
“We wanted to make something tangible — to grow, host, and welcome people in. The vineyard gave us something to produce. The glamping let us share it.”
That vision would soon become Liba Vineyard.
Chris and Louise didn’t jump in blind. In fact, they did everything Glampitect dreams a client will do:
Found us through Google, downloaded free resources
Joined the Glampitect Academy, taking time to learn
Booked a Feasibility Study before buying land
Engaged us for full planning permission support
Partnered with Pod Factory for luxury woodland units
Hired Propelling Parrot to support their launch and branding
They turned uncertainty into a step-by-step plan — and we were proud to be alongside them the whole way.
Their site — around 10 acres in the countryside — includes a farmhouse, outbuildings (soon to become a winery), and a spacious woodland glade.
They’ve started with three glamping pods, carefully chosen to feel luxurious but still grounded in nature.
“We didn’t want raised decks or fences that cut guests off from the forest. We wanted people to feel in the woodland — not next to it.”
Each pod includes hot tubs, fire pits, and eventually hammocks and forest nooks. But there’s more coming: on-site wine tastings, a farm shop, even wedding potential.
This is eco-glamping meets long-term legacy — and it’s all unfolding at Liba Vineyard.
They haven’t even launched bookings yet — and they’re already seeing momentum.
Thanks to Louise’s thoughtful content on TikTok, they’ve built a growing audience of strangers rooting for them. Six-figure video views, thousands of followers, and real support from people who’ve never stepped foot on the land… yet.
Chris & Louise didn’t just create a glamping site — they created a brand that’s true to them.
They’ve made smart, emotionally driven decisions. They’ve invested in expert help. They’ve focused on experience over ego.
“You don’t have to start big,” Chris says. “We didn’t even need three pods to begin. But we backed ourselves — and we asked for help when we needed it.”
“It’s terrifying,” Chris admits. “But it’s also completely worth it.”
Their advice?
Don’t wait for the ‘perfect’ time
Start with one pod if needed
Use evenings and weekends to move things forward
Get a Feasibility Study — and take it seriously
Talk to people who’ve done it
And most of all: don’t be afraid to start again.
Whether you’re at the dreaming stage or already eyeing up land, our team can help you take the first step — just like we did with Chris & Louise.
